Since $A D=B D$ and $C D=D E$,
$AE = BC \Rightarrow \angle BOC =\angle AOE =90^{\circ} $
$\Rightarrow \angle ADE =(\frac{1}{2}) \angle AOE =(\frac{1}{2}) 90^{\circ}=45^{\circ}$
