Solution:

When, methyl bromide react with potassium cyanide then form ethyl nitrile via nucleophilic substitution reaction.
Ethyl nitrile on hydrolysis reaction gives ethanoic acid.
Ethanoic acid reduces with lithium aluminium hydride to give ethyl alcohol as the final product.
