$i_{1}=\frac{6}{4}=1.5mA$
Maximum current will be obtained for battery voltage
$16V$
$i=\frac{16 - 6}{2}=5mA$
$i_{2}\left(\right.max\left.\right)=5-1.5=3.5mA$
