Solution:

Dicot embryo consists of two cotyledons and monocot embryo consist of single cotyledon known as scutellum, which forms a shield shaped structure between endosperm and embryo. Both are homologous as both have same origin and structure but perform different function. Coleorrhizae and coleoptiles are foliar structure present at root apex and shoot apex.
