Q. In the cyclotron, as radius of the circular path of the charged particle increases
$\omega=$ angular velocity, $v=$ linear velocity

NTA AbhyasNTA Abhyas 2022Moving Charges and Magnetism

Solution:

In a cyclotron
$R=\frac{m v}{q B}$
$v=\frac{q B R}{m} $ and $ \omega =\frac{q B}{m}$
$\therefore \, \, R \propto v.$
$\omega ,q,m$ and $B$ are constant.
