Q. In the bacteria :
(1) mesosome is present
(2) nucleoid represents the genome
(3) ribosomes are found in cytoplasm
(4) histone proteins complexed with DNA

BHUBHU 2006

Solution:

Mesosomes are present as infolding or intrusions of the plasma membrane of bacteria. The bacterial cytoplasm contains many ribosomes of $100 \,\mathring{A}$ diameter. The genetic material in bacterial cell is DNA. The bacterial genome is thus represented by a single circular double helical DNA molecule.
