Consider the figure given below.
In balanced condition, net torque at the point O (fulcrum) is zero. $ \Rightarrow $ $ 20\times 5=40\times x $ $ \Rightarrow $ $ x=\frac{20\times 5}{40}=25 $ $ =250cm $
