Q. In majority of angiospenns

Sexual Reproduction in Flowering Plants

Solution:

In most of the angiosperms, the megaspore mother cell $(2n )$ divides meiotically (reductional division) to produce $4$ cells.
Out of these, three degenerate and the remaining one forms the functional megaspore. This further divides mitotically and forms embryo sac.
