Solution:
In angiosperms, the first male nucleus fuses with egg cells, this leads to a diploid structure, called zygote. This is known as syngamy, while the second male nucleus fuses with the diploid secondary nucleus and lead to a triploid structure called as primary endosperm nucleus. This process is known as triple fusion. Primary endosperm nucleus after several mitotic divisions gives rise to a nutritive mass called as endosperm so, it is a triploid structure. Syngamy and triple fusion together, are known as double fertilisation. It is as unique feature of angiosperms.
