Solution:

In angiosperms, archegonium is replaced by female gametophyte. The body of ovule consists of a mass of parenchymatous cells named nucellus. One hypodermal nucellar cell forms megaspore mother cell which forms four haploid megaspores. Functional megaspore gives rise to female gameioplyte.
