In most of the flowering plants, the endosperm is formed inside the seeds around the time of fertilization. This is actually a tissue that surrounds the embryo and provides it nutrition. The formation of the endosperm in angiosperms takes place when two central nuclei and a sperm nuclei fuse in the embryo sac. While one fertilizes the egg to form the zygote.
