Q. In an ECG, the QRS stands for

AMUAMU 1997

Solution:

: ECG is a graphical recording of electrical changes (in specific sequence) that accompany the cardiac cycle. In the ECG the QRS stand for ventricular depolarization and atrial repolarisation. The duration of QRS is 80 milliseconds. Ventricular depolarization is due to sodium influx through rapidly opening sodium channel. Repolarisation is due to potassium efflux.
