Q. In a typical eukaryotic cell cycle, Gap 1, Synthesis and Gap 2 are the three phases included in the

KEAMKEAM 2015Cell Cycle and Cell Division

Solution:

Interphase is the period between the end of one cell division to the beginning of the next cell division, i.e., (between two successive M-phases). It is further sub-divided into three sub-stages : Gj (Gap-1) phase, S (Synthesis) phase and G2 (Gap-2) phase. Prophase, metaphase, anaphase and telophase are sub-stages of M (Mitosis) phase.
