Q. In a hollow spherical shell potential $(V)$ changes with respect to distance $(r) $ from centre

Solution:

$\left(V_{\text {inside }}=\frac{Q}{4 \pi \varepsilon_{0} R} \quad\right.$ for $r \leq R \,\,\,\ldots$.(i)
and $V_{\text {out }}=\frac{Q}{4 \pi \varepsilon_{0} r}$ for $r \geq R$....(ii)
i.e. potential inside the hollow spherical shell is constant and outside varies according to $V \propto \frac{1}{r}$
