Q.
In a diode, when there is a saturation current, the plate resistance $(r_p)$, is
MHT CETMHT CET 2007Semiconductor Electronics: Materials Devices and Simple Circuits
Solution:
Plate resistance $\left(r_{p}\right)=\frac{\delta V}{\delta I}$
(where $dV$ is the change in voltage and
$\delta$I is the change in current.
At saturation, curreInt $\delta$I = 0 . Therefore at saturation
$\left(r_{p}\right)=\frac{\delta V}{0}=\infty$.
