Q. In a cyclic process, the amount of heat given to a system is equal to

KEAMKEAM 2013Thermodynamics

Solution:

We have heat equation
$\Delta \,Q=\Delta U+\Delta \,W$
For cyclic process, $\Delta\, U=0$
So, $\Delta\, Q=\Delta \,W$
So in a cyclic process, the amount of heat given to a system is equal to net work done by the system.
