Solution:

Young's modulus, $ Y=\frac{3\eta }{2} $
We know that $ Y=2\eta (1+\sigma ) $
$ \therefore $ $ \frac{3\eta }{2}=2\eta (1+\sigma ) $
$ \Rightarrow $ $ \sigma =-\frac{1}{4} $
