$ \overrightarrow{ a } \cdot \overrightarrow{ b }=0 $
$ \therefore \overrightarrow{ a } \cdot \overrightarrow{ b }=0$
$ \therefore 2 \times 1+4 \times 2-2 \times \alpha=0 $
$ \therefore \alpha=5$
