Solution:

Endosperm is a tissue formed before the fertilization occurs and is developed from in the ovule during the development of the megaspore in Gymnosperms. This tissue surrounds the developing embryo and provides nourishment to it, as it is its function. The endosperm in gymnosperm is haploid unlike in angiosperm where it is triploid as the endosperm develops from the haploid female gametophyte. The chromosome number of endosperm in gymnosperm will be same as that of the egg.
