Tautonyms refers to a binomial name in which names of both the genus and the species are same, e.g. Gorilla gorilla. Binomial nomenclature is the formal naming system of living beings composed in two parts i.e. a generic and a specific name, e.g. Homo sapiens. Cladistics is a grouping system in which organisms are grouped based on presence of one or more shared unique characteristics coming from last common ancestor. Polytypic means more than one type.
