Q. If the magnetic field is parallel to a surface, then the magnetic flux through the surface is

NTA AbhyasNTA Abhyas 2020

Solution:

$\phi=\overset{ \rightarrow }{B}.\overset{ \rightarrow }{A}$
The area vector $\overset{ \rightarrow }{A}$ is perpendicular to the surface. So, when the surface is parallel to the magnetic field, the angle between $\overset{ \rightarrow }{B}$ and $\overset{ \rightarrow }{A}$ is $90^\circ $ .
Hence $\phi=0$ .
