Q. If the length of rod $A$ is $\left(3.25 \, \pm 0.01\right) \, cm$ and that of $B$ is $\left(4.19 \, \pm 0.01\right) \, cm,$ then the rod $B$ is longer than rod $A$ by

Solution:

Given, length of rod $A$ is
$L_{A}=3.25\pm0.01$
Of B is $L_{B}=4.19\pm0.01$
Then, the rod B is longer than rod A by a length
$\Delta l=L_{B}-L_{A}$
$\Delta l=\left(4.19 \pm 0.01\right)-\left(3.25 \pm 0.01\right)$
$\Delta l=\left(0.94 \pm 0.02 \, \right)\text{c}\text{m}$
