Solution:
After simplifying the given circuit, we get,
From the circuit,
$12 = i_{1}+i_{2}\quad\quad\quad\quad\quad\quad\quad...\left(i\right)$
$i_{1}=\frac{V}{6}$ and $i_{2} = \frac{V}{12}$
Then, from equ. (i)
$\Rightarrow \, \frac{V}{6}+\frac{V}{12}=12$
$\Rightarrow \, \frac{3V}{12}=12\,\Rightarrow \,V = 48 \,volt$
