Q. If the critical temperature of a gas is $100^{\circ} C$, its Boyle temperature will be approximately

Kinetic Theory

Solution:

Boyle temperature is defined as
$ T _{ B } =\frac{ a }{ Rb }=\frac{27}{8}\left(\frac{8 a }{27 Rb }\right)=\frac{27}{8} T _{ c }=3.375 T _{ c } $
$=3.375 \times 100=337.5^{\circ} C $
