Q. If temperature is increased by $1 \,K$ at constant volume, then work done on the gas is:

Jharkhand CECEJharkhand CECE 2006Thermodynamics

Solution:

Work done on a gas is given by $ W=P\Delta V $
where P is pressure, $ \Delta V $ the change in volume.
Given $ \Delta V=0, $
therefore $ W=P\times 0=0 $
