Q. If radius of an orbiting satellite is decreased, then its kinetic energy

Gravitation

Solution:

$K.E =\frac{G M m}{2 r} $
$ P.E =-\frac{G M m}{r}$
$M \rightarrow$ mass of planet
$m \rightarrow $ mass of satellite
$r \rightarrow $ radius of orbit
When $r$ is decreased,
Kinetic energy increases,
Potential energy decreases (becomes more negative).
