Q.
If $r$ is the radius of the first orbit, the radius of nth orbit of H-atom is given by
AIPMTAIPMT 1988Structure of Atom
Solution:
Radius of an orbit,
$I_{n}=\frac{n^{2} h^{2}}{4 \pi^{2} m \theta^{2} Z}=\frac{0.529 n^{2}}{Z}\,\mathring{A}$
For H-atom, $Z=1$
If $ I_{1}=r $ (according to question $z_{1}=r$ )
$\therefore I_{n}=\frac{r \times n^{2}}{1}=m^{2}$
