Q. If n(A) = 50, n(B)=20 and $n(A \cap B) = 10$ then $n(A \Delta B)$ is

Sets

Solution:

$n\left(A \Delta B\right) =n\left(A \cup B\right) -n\left(A \cap B\right) $
$= n\left(A \right) + n\left(B\right)-2n\left(A \cap B\right)$
$=50+20-2\left(10\right)=50$
