Given all men are together
$\therefore $ Linear arrangement of $p$ men and $q$ women $=p !(q+1) !$
and circular arrangement of $p$ men and $q$ women $=p ! q !$
$\Rightarrow \frac{\alpha}{\beta}=\frac{p !(q+1) !}{p ! q \mid !}=(q+1): 1$
