Solution:

Spinal nerve is mix type of nerve and carries motor, sensory and autonomic signals. Spinal nerve is formed from its dorsal and ventral roots. Ventral root carries motor information from brain which is efferent motor root and dorsal root carries sensory information to the brain which is afferent sensory root. If the dorsal root is damaged, there would be no sensations reaching the spinal cord and hence there would be no motor response
