Q. If a spoon of copper metal is placed in a solution of ferrous sulphate

Electrochemistry

Solution:

$E^{o}_{Cu^{2+}|Cu}=0.34 E^{o}_{Fe^{2+}|Fe}=-0.44 V$
So Cu can’t displace $Fe^{2+}$.
