Q. If a rubber ball is taken at the depth of 200m in a pool, its volume decreases by 0.1%. If the density of water is $ \text{1 }\!\!\times\!\!\text{ 1}{{\text{0}}^{\text{3}}}\,\text{kg/}{{\text{m}}^{\text{3}}} $ and $ g=10\,m/{{s}^{2}}, $ then the volume of elasticity in $ \text{N/}{{\text{m}}^{\text{2}}} $ will be

Solution:

$ K=\frac{\Delta p}{\Delta V/V}=\frac{\rho hg}{\Delta V/V} $
$ =\frac{200\times {{10}^{3}}\times 10}{0.1/100} $
$ =2\times {{10}^{9}} $
