Q. If a reaction $A + B \rightarrow C$, is exothermic to the extent of $30\, KJ\, mol ^{-1}$ and the forward reaction has an activation energy, $70\, KJ\, mol ^{-1}$ the activation energy for the reverse reaction is :-

Solution:

$\Delta H = E _{ a _{ f }}- E _{ a _{ b }}$
$-30=70- x$
$x =100\, kJ\, mol ^{-1}$
