Q. If $A$ is a vector with magnitude $A$, then the unit vector $\hat{ a }$ in the direction of vector $A$ is

Motion in a Plane

Solution:

In general, a vector $A$ can be written as
$A =| A | \hat{ n }$....(i)
where, $\hat{ n }$ is a unit vector along $A$.
If $\hat{a}$ is a unit vector along $A$, then from Eq. (i) we can write, $\hat{ a }=\frac{ A }{| A |}$
