Q. If ₹ 5000 becomes ₹ 5800 in 2 years at simple interest, how much does a sum of ₹ 12000 become in 5 years at the same rate of simple interest?

Simple Interest and Compound Interest

Solution:

$800=\frac{5000 \times 2 \times R}{100}$
$ 800=100 \times R$
$R=8 \% $
$S I=\frac{12000 \times 5 \times 8}{100} $
$=₹ 4800 $
$ \text { Total sum }=12000+4800=16800$
