Areolar connective tissue - A type of connective tissue consisting of a gel-like matrix incorporating strands of protein fibers (collagen and elastin) and such cells as fibroblasts, mast cells, macrophages, and fat cells. This tissue is found throughout the body under the skin and linking organs and other tissues.
Fluid connective tissue - Blood is a fluid connective tissue containing plasma, red blood cells (RBC), white blood cells (WBC) and platelets. It is the main circulating fluid that helps in
the transport of various substances residing in blood vessels.
