Rennin is a biological catalyst secreted in the stomach of the infants which helps in breaking of milk protein. Rennin enzyme is also called as "Chymosin" or "Rennet". Erepsin is a group of enzymes secreted by the small intestine which helps in obtaining amino acids from peptones. Similarly, amylase and trypsin are biocatalysts secreted by pancreas that help in breaking down starch and proteoses.
Saliva is the watery fluid secreted by the salivary glands. These glands are located in the mouth region. The secreted saliva contains starch breaking enzyme salivary amylase or ptyalin. It also has lysozyme that protect the mouth region from infection by being anti-bacterial.
The stomach has certain gastric glands that plays a vital role in digestion process. These gastric glands found the mucosa of stomach contain parietal cells.
