The quasi fluid nature of the lipid helps in the lateral movement of protein through the membrane bilayer. The protein can move through the membrane and not only at specific places. Mitochondria and plastid are semi-autonomous organelle as they have DNA similar to bacteria and partially depend on nucleus. Endomembrane system comprises of ER, Golgi, vacuole, lysosome, etc.
