NTA AbhyasNTA Abhyas 2020

Solution:

Growth hormone regulates the growth of the body by promoting protein anabolism, intestinal absorption of calcium, conservation of glucose etc. It helps in the synthesis and deposition of protein, growth of long bones and other parts of the skeleton. Hypersecretion of growth hormone during adulthood causes acromegaly and gigantism during childhood, while its hyposecretion causes dwarfism.
