Solution:

Molar mass of $CuSO_4 = 63.5 + 32 + 4 \times 16$
$ = 159.5 \,g$
Mass of copper present in $159.5\, g$ of $CuSO_{4} = 63.5\, g$
$\therefore $ Mass of copper present in $50\, g$ of $CuSO_4$
$=\frac{63.5}{159.5} \times 50 = 19.90 \, g$
