E.C. of $S_{32}$ in the excited state = $1s^22s^22p^63s^2$

It undergoes sp3d hybridization to give a trigonal bipyramidal arrangement in which one hybrid orbital occupies a lone pair and remaining four contain one electron each which is shared with those of F-atoms to form two types of F-S-F bonds'(axial and equatorial).
