Q. How many moles of $KMnO_{4}$ will be needed to react completely with one mole of ferrous oxalate $\left(\right.FeC_{2}O_{4}\left.\right)$ in acidic solution?

NTA AbhyasNTA Abhyas 2022

Solution:

$3MnO_{4}^{-}+5FeC_{2}O_{4}+24H^{+} \rightarrow 3Mn^{2 +}+5Fe^{3 +}+10CO_{2}+12H_{2}O$
Number of mole of $KMnO_{4}$ required per mole of $FeC_{2}O_{4}=\frac{3}{5}$
