Solution:

Acetyl CoA is a 2 Carbon compound, thus when it is oxidized in matrix of mitochondria it produces 2 molecules of carbondioxide. Thus for oxidation of 2 molecules of Acetyl CoA in aerobic respiration 4 molecules of carbondioxide is produced.
