clemmensen reduction forms $n$-propyl benzene as follows :
Friedel craft alkylation method can also be used for conversion of benzene to n-propyl benzene. But the electrophile formed in $F. C$ acylation method is more electrophilic in nature
than the electrophile $(CH_3CH_2\, \overset{⊕}{C}H_2)$ formed in $F. C$ alkylation method.
Hence, $F.C$ acylation followed by clemmensen reduction is more preferrable.
