Solution:
Pituitary gland is divided into anterior pituitary and posterior pituitary which are embryologically different. They also secrete different hormones. Anterior pituitary secretes - prolactin, growth hormone, thyroid
- simulating hormone $(TSH)$ ; adrenocorticotrophic hormone $(ACTH)$, luteinising hormone $(LH)$, follicle stimulating hormone $(FSH)$ and $\beta$ -lipotropic hormone $(\beta -LPH)$.
Posterior pituitary releases - antidiuretic hormone $(ADH)$ or vasopressin, and oxytocin.
