Q.
Heterogeneous nuclear $RNA (hnRNA)$ is converted to $wRNA$ by
AMUAMU 2014Molecular Basis of Inheritance
Solution:
The heterogeneous nuclear $RNA (hn \,RNA)$ is the precursuor of mRNA, It undergoes splicing, capping and tailing during the process. In E splicing, the introns are removed and exons are joined in a defined order $hn \,RNA$ undergoes someone processing called as capping and tailing. In capping an unusual nucleotide (methyl guanosine triphosphate) is added to the $5$ -end of $hn \,RNA$. In tailing, adenylate residues $(200-300)$ are added at $3$-end in a template independent manner. It is the fully processed $hn \,RNA$, now called mRNA. It is transported out of the nucleous for translation.
