Viruses are small infectious agents with the simple acellular organisation. Viruses contain either RNA or DNA as their genetic material.
Retroviruses are unique viruses that contain single-stranded RNA as their genetic material. HIV is the example of retrovirus that has two single-stranded RNA as genetic material and reverse transcriptase enzyme.
