Solution:

Methyl Isocyanate (MIC) and Phosgene are the fatal gases released during pesticides manu facturing. Bhopal gas disaster that took place on the night of December $2, 1984$ was due to release of phosgene and methyl iso cyanate, which killed over $2500$ people in Bhopal in $1984$. December $2$ is observed as National Pollution Prevention Day in India to mark the anniversary of the Bhopal gas disaster.
