Solution:

The fusion of 2 dissimilar gametes is called fertilization. Gametes can differ in size and form. Fertilization is a series of reactions leading to gametic fusion and formation of a diploid cell called zygote. In plants, the gametes are pollen(male gamete) and egg cell( female gamete)
