Q. From which part of plant, cotton fibres are obtained?

Solution:

Cotton fibres are obtained from Gossypium sp. It is perennial shrub. The fruits are capsules called balls, with $3-S$ locules. Each locule contains about $9$ seeds. Epidermal hair from seed surface of Gossypium arboreum and other Species are found. Epidermal hair present on the seed surface are of two types, extractable lint and non-ex tractable fluffy or fizzed fuzz.
